Took me awhile to post this since my comp. is always crashing, but anyway, here goes: Driving down the rte. 37 in NJ when all of a sudden a gang of musclecars swarm by me. Mustangs, F-bodys and a blue Z06 still with the dealer tags on it. THe ones with the 405hp. I look over and there's these 2 kids in it, couldnt be older than 18, and they're looking over at me and tapping on the gas to induce a race. I didnt go for it, mainly cuz' I knew I would lose but also there was a total of about 7-8 cars in 3 lanes so it was impossible. I did want to pull up to a light with them and ask the kid if Daddy knew he had his car out! LOL! So anyway, the kid starts weaving in and out of traffic ahead of me and I can hear the short bursts of speed from his exhaust. I'm thinking to myself, he better be careful with that throttle. Well sure enough, I happen to glance ahead at where he's at and all of a sudden the rear end just swerves out. I wasnt able to see anything else except that his buddies were pulling over, so I followed. The kid did a 180 degree spin, bounced up over a curb and into a Pepboys parking lot stopping a few feet away from the pole that holds the Pepboys sign. I think it was some of the bushes around that slowed him down from hitting it. Now for the damage report. Both driver side wheels had their tires halfway off. Rear rim had a big chip off of it. Couldnt see any body damage tho it was dark out. I'm sure that there's got to be some kind of frame and/or drivetrain damage from such a shock, tho. Plus the thing smelled like a Xmas tree from all the shrubbery around it. I just shook my head, gave the kid some choice words and decided to leave before the cops arrived. Luckily no one was injured and Pep Boys was closed at the time. But can you believe that? Brand-spanking new Z06! Anyway, be careful out there guys!
